Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026
None of this is required to play. Offline, without choosing a name, and with every online feature turned off, Chibola Tower Defense is exactly the same game: the same campaign, the same endless mode, the same maps. Everything this page describes is optional and turned on on purpose.

This policy covers Chibola Tower Defense, available on desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux) and Android. The data controller is an individual — the developer — and you can write to chibola@tavo.dev with any question about this policy.

What there is NOT

No ads. No in-app purchases. No cross-app tracking or advertising fingerprint. The game itself carries no third-party SDKs or third-party analytics. The only server the game talks to is our own, hosted on Supabase as an infrastructure provider — not as a recipient of your data.

This website (not the game) uses Vercel Analytics to count visits: no cookies, no personal data, just aggregate counts of which pages get visited.

What gets sent

If you turn on the online leaderboard, the game sends an install identifier (no personal data), your alias if you choose one, and a summary of the match (map, wave, kills). If you also turn on cloud backup, your email and your progress are stored too. All of this is optional and can be turned off from Options or from the leaderboard itself.

Who it's shared with

With no one. None of this data is sold or shared with third parties. It's processed in the developer's own Supabase project, hosted on servers outside your country of residence — that's the only international data transfer that happens, and it's the same one used by any app with a cloud server.

How long it's kept

As long as the account or identifier stays active. You can request full deletion at any time — see Delete account — and it's processed within 30 days at most.

Content generated by other players

The leaderboard shows aliases chosen by other players. You can hide a player or report an alias directly from the leaderboard — see Terms of use for details on what counts as objectionable content.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your data (under GDPR, CCPA, and, by residence, Mexico's LFPDPPP). Deletion is handled on this page; for access, correction, or portability, write to chibola@tavo.dev.

Minors

Chibola Tower Defense is aimed at people 13 and up and doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes substantially, the "Last updated" date above is updated. There's no newsletter or push notification — the game has neither.
